Our founder and namesake Lisa Olson began Lisa’s Catering in 1991. She had been in the food service industry since the age of 16, and knew she wanted to run her own business. She ran a bar/restaurant in Anoka for a while, but realized her passion was in the catering side of her business. She closed the restaurant and built a licensed, commercial-grade kitchen in her home that allowed her to cater to daycare centers, senior citizens, weddings and corporate clients.

Lisa’s daughter, Jamie, joined the team in 2006 as the sales and marketing manager. Jamie leads the wedding catering side of our business, meeting and working with brides-to-be up through their wedding days.

Our catering business has grown extensively since 1991. We now operate out of a commercial kitchen and small event space in Ramsey. Even with our growth, however, we remain committed to excellence in all we do.
